Karen Wood has loved horses since she was a girl and heads off for a ride whenever she can.
She has travelled all around Australia with horses and lived on a property near the Sunshine Coast in Queensland for a number of years. She now lives on the Central Coast of NSW with her husband and two young daughters.
She has an Australian stockhorse called Reo and a Haflinger called Toffee.
Karen works as an author and a tutor. She has written three horsey books for teenagers which will be published by Allen and Unwin early in 2011.
