CALOUNDRA FAMILY HISTORY RESEARCH INC web site.
The
CFHRIs aims and objectives are:-

to encourage and promote the study of genealogy, family
history, and history and heritage in the Caloundra Area in
order to preserve the history and heritage of this
Region;
# to make records and indexes
of monumental inscriptions, honour boards, church and cemetery
registers and other historical source material from the
Caloundra area and Queensland;
# to
hold regular meetings and training workshops to assist members
by sharing resources and reference materials;
#
to develop and extend through acquisition the holdings of a
reference and research library;
# to
interact with similar groups and societies on a national and
international basis by sharing knowledge and information
for the betterment and benefit of the community at large.

This
is achieved by installing an active committee to
promote and organise various activities and
develop the resources and a library for
the good of the members in an efficient and harmonious
environment. The committee also provides information to
members for what is the latest news in
genealogy and has a Calendar
of Events
and Activities Resource material developed by members is
available for sale.
Caloundra
Family History Research Inc meets the third Thursday of the month
at the Guide Hut Arthur Street Caloundra at 1.30pm (except
December).
